Florida Water is a unique and powerful spiritual tool that has been used for centuries in spiritual ancestral practices. It is known for its citrus-rosemary fragrance and is often used to cleanse the aura around an individual or space. It also has the ability to attract luck, love, prosperity, and other positive energies. In this article, we will explore the history of Florida Water and its uses in Voodoo and Hoodoo rituals.

Florida Water, is a unique and distinct type of water that has been around since the 19th century. It is said to be first created by the Perfumery House of Murray & Lanman in 1808 and has since become an essential part of many spiritual communities. The name "Florida Water" is protected by copyright, and it is the only water whose name is copyrighted. Florida Water has long been a part of spiritual and cultural practices for enslaved people throughout the African Diaspora. It was used as a form of protection, healing, and cleansing of the mind, body, and spirit. For centuries, it has been passed down from generation to generation, with its use continuing today among descendants of enslaved people and beyond. Florida Water is still used in spiritual ceremonies and rituals as a way to honor ancestral traditions and connect with the divine. There are thousands of versions of homemade Florida Water, although you can still buy the commercial version at any local botanica.

Florida Water is a traditional perfume-like cologne. A simple recipe consists of a blend of vodka, rose water, essential oils of bergamot, lavender, lemon, orange blossom, and other herbs and spices. The result is a fragrant liquid that can be used to anoint objects or persons in rituals or ceremonies. It can also be used as an air freshener or simply enjoyed as an exotic scent.

Here are some other ideas on how to use Florida Water for everyday use:

  1. Offer it to your ancestors or guides on your altar in a bowl.

Herbal baths can be used to bring good luck, protection, and even financial blessings. When brewing an herbal bath, it is important to use herbs associated with the desired outcome. For example, if you are looking for a bath that will bring financial abundance and success, you should include herbs such as cinnamon, basil, or rosemary in your bath.

For those looking to undo negative hexes, and jinxes or remove any form of negativity from their life, the thirteen herb bath is a great option. This bath consists of thirteen herbs associated with purification and uncrossing such as lavender, rosemary, and bay leaves. To make this bath, fill a large bucket or bathtub with water and add the herbs. Allow them to steep for at least 30 minutes, then take your bath while focusing on releasing any negativity in your life. Once you finish bathing and rinsing off, pour out the bathwater near a tree after sundown as an offering. Doing this bath for thirteen consecutive days will help break curses and remove any negative energy.
